Jingle bells

Hi there

Just wanted to show you my latest card and my final entry into the LOTV monthley challenge.  Again I have used their Build a snowman stamp and the first edition papers but different ones and have chosen to do a rectangular card base.

Here it is with the box I made for it , it is just wide enough for a bar of chocolate to be wrapped and added to it. I just love the little stockings on the backing paper and the texture is lovely it is almost as if they have been coated in embossing powder.  Again I just had to add a LOTV sentiment but this time stamped onto one of the papers. Just a dusting of stickels and it was all done.

Can't believe I am getting so far ahead this year, and that I have managed to enter the competition in time for once.  Just had to enter this card with the song Jingle bells, sorry to be so unimaginative but that  is what it reminds me of. Just love this stamp the possibilities are endless.
Hope you like it

Walking in a winter wonderland

Hello again

as its so cold I thought I would blog a christmas card, who says you can't have christmas in February.

This one is using the LOTV stamp build a snowman and I am entering it in their monthly challenge name that tune, as it reminds me of the song walking in a winter wonderland.  I am doing really well at the moment and trying to use up anything I have been luck enough to win in competitions or already have. I am feeling really good at my thriftynes but you don't realize how much stash you have until you start doing it.  Also LOTV have just brought out some amazing paper pads and I have to be good until payday so am staying away from craftshops.

Just love this stamp as it  is so much fun to color, and I just love the papers, they are from a first edition pad that I got in a three for two at Hobby Craft just before Christmas.  I just had to make a matching box for it to keep my flowers safe.

Just had to add some snowflakes from my favorite spellbinders die and a sentiment from LOTV also won in a competion. Just a few stickles and it was all finished and the best bit was that it didn't cost me anything as it had everything already.

Happy Crafting
Best wishes Maria

Daisy, Daisy

Hi again,

Just wanted to show you my second entry into the LOTV monthly challenge.  I have used one of their lovely James the bear stamps and have used posy trio again but colored differently.  I used my new Karen Burniston die which was so easy and quick to use. Papers were from Lilly of the valleys country Lady pad.

This is the back view, the card is for my sister in laws birthday this week so I thought I wold give it a personal touch with her name.

I also made use of the lovely lili of the valley sentiment stamps which I won in a competion recentley, they are excellent for this type of card as I was able to line them up so that they stack on top of each other when the card is closed.

I also made a box for it as it is quite fragile and to stop the flowers getting crushed in the post.  The flowers I used are from Ribbon Girl as I won them in a competition  a couple of months ago.  I especially love the Daisy as it fits so well with the theme of the stamp.  The butterfly on the last leaf was made with a  x cuts die and I thought it very apt as there is a butterfly on one of the little stamps.
Here it is in the box.

and here is the lid using one of the xcut butterfly dies

The brown card on the front I embossed with my new X cut butterfly A4 embossing folder again in a butterfly motif. The swirls are cut from pieces of my memory box die inked and added to various parts of the card.  I used it in full on the lid, and think I am going to find it very useful.

Hope you like my card, and hope that Kim does too.

Just wanna be your teddy bear

Hello everyone

Just stopped by to show you my latest card for which I inked up my new set of LOTV stamps called posy trio.  I just couldn't resist this little set of bears and love the way she falls and drops the bouquet but still bravely struggles back into place still grasping one of the flowers.

The papers are also by LOTV and are called Country Lady but sadley I am nearing the end of the pad, so will have to treat myself to a new one soon.  I just had to have a go with my new die from Memory box which I was lucky to win in penny black challenge last month and I just love how it draws attention to the flowers.  They are from Ribbon girl by the way, bought with my gift voucher from winning a previous challenge. I tried inking them with some Tim Holtz tea die to blend them in with the colours of the paper and I was quite pleased with the result for my first go.

The card is for my Niece Ellie's  birthday and I think she will love the cute little bear images, they are so sweet. Plus they were very quick to color and I got to play at stamping out of a circle.

I colored her using my spectrum Noirs but I think she would look just as good in chalks or even watercolors.  Hope you like the card, Please let me know what you think.

I am entering it into the LOTV monthly challenge and the song it reminds me of is I just want to be your teddy bear.
